A LETTER TO MYSELF

Dear self,

You are unbelievably strong.
No you don’t lift weights, you lift souls.
You carry the weight of others on your shoulders,
So they can fight and carry on.

You say this but it's been so long,
Since you fought for yourself,
Trying to change the world's wrongs.
But ask yourself,

Will it be reciprocated?
Or is the cloth so different
That you would scratch their backs
But they laugh when the opportunity is given?

Nonsense!
But I guess it all makes sense,
When the judge asks the jury what's the verdict
He'll word it...

“Your Honor this man is a human tissue.
He's full of tears from the people that had the world of issues.
Misused and mistreated he was with no answer to why?
So he is guilty for being able to let himself cry.”

So you cry man...do what you gotta do,
People won't get the picture but you know that's typical,
It figures though...so let the sky be your point of view,
Don't mind the fake, let them hate, just stay true to you.
