TELL ME

I don't want to know
What I know to be true,
What I need you to do,
Is tell me another lie.

Lie next to me while you lie to me,
Say those three words,
Those eight letters,
I love your speech.

Easily reaching me with your poetic joke of a fantasy,
My arms outstretched, an ornament of gullibility,
Placed in the house of hearts that bares all secrecy,
But I don't want to know, continue to lie to me.

Comfort me with those lines of pleasure,
"I won't leave", "I'm all yours",
Coming from the lips of an angel that's a treasure.

At least in my eyes, you were just that, angelic.
Your heart was my zodiac sign,
See we were aligned to redesign
Love and all of its romantics.
At least I thought so...

But before I go just hold me close one more time,
Let me be embraced by your sweet lies
Before the truth shines
And takes it all away for the last time.
