Have you ever met
someone
That has been
two-faced?
Harvey Dent lookin’
Trying to misplace
your grace
I mean let’s face it,
it’s basic
We live our lives
through instincts
And we don’t blink
because we try to see the fakers
Call them counterfeits
Like politics
Politicians give you
a good story
But when elections
are over
It’s all about the
glory.
With the nation in
jeopardy,
Recession causing
poverty,
Everybody for
themselves
And nobody for unity.
I guess it’s typical,
Guess they’re not
used to the word reciprocal
It figures though
Only interested in
their self like they’re cynical.
But what about
principles?
What about values?
What about our future
with each other
And our daily dues?
People will say they
care
But only when it’s
beneficial.
Stand by you through
the thick
But when it’s thin
they are not for you.
See you get your
success,
Then they try to be
advisers
None the wiser but
you know
They see money so
they’re guiders.
All I’m trying to say
is
That these people
nowadays
Will stick by you for
your wealth
And not the person
you are everyday.
They see you
progressing
While their lives are
a disgrace
But help them live a
life of good,
A life that is not
two-faced.
